The Gazebo
A quaint little restaurant with ocean views, this spot is sure to surprise any visitor. The line starts to form outside before they open their doors, so heading there at your earliest is best.
Located on Napili Bay, the views and breeze alone are relaxing and inviting. But wait until you taste their food, their vegetable fried rice (yes, fried rice for breakfast) was out of this world. Thank me later!
808 Grindz Cafe
Another great breakfast spot in Maui, best when you order for take-out and head to the beach to enjoy the deliciousness.
This is a busy spot as well, a line forms early for call-in and pick-up orders.
The steak loco moco most definitely “broke da mouth” though.
Hali’imaile General Store
A restaurant located in Upcountry, this makes for a great lunch spot.
Their menu offers creative eats and fresh ingredients with a Hawaiian flare. The coconut lime cocktail is a must, and their ahi tuna as well as their coconut fish green curry are sublime.
The pineapple upside-down cake was gone within seconds after it arrived at the table.
Huihui
Located at Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, this is a fairly new restaurant that recently opened within the past year or so.
Oceanfront views, live music, and exceptional cocktails are sure to make for a great dinner experience. Highly recommended items from their menu include the lobster dumplings, grilled fish in banana leaf, and they make a mean Mai Tai.
Mama’s Fish House
We saved the best for last, one of the most famous restaurants in Maui and requires reservations way in advance. Expensive but worth every penny, and the views alone merit the visit.
The ahi tuna ceviche, macadamia crusted fish, and butterflied jumbo shrimp are some of the best menu choices you can go with when ordering dinner. Don’t forget dessert and their french press coffee to complete the meal.
